Editor's Note

Solomon's KnotSolomon's Knot Stitch (kn st)

When doing this stitch there is a little trick to make it easier to keep the stitch the proper size and that is to pull up the loops as long as 3 ch or as tall as a dc; this will keep the stitch in perfect balance with the rest of the work.

Reverse Crochet or Shrimp St

This stitch is a finishing stitch which gives a nice corded, or rolled, look to an edge; it's purpose is only for edging. It looks good sometimes with a contrasting color or finish (like rayon) thread.

*Insert hook in next st to right, yarn over and pull through, yarn over and pull through 2 lps on hook for sc, repeat from * around.

box or crazy stitch

I promise to get this finished!!!

Bullion Stitch

This and the Clones Knot requires a bit of skill on the part of the crocheter. Click here to take you to the page. Once you master this stitch cro-tatting will e very easy.

Clone's Knot

This is a stitch requiring more advanced skill of the crocheter. I do plan on having the instructions here; I just have not gotten that them together yet. By-the-way, if you can cro-tat you can the clones knot. The Clones knot is generally only seen in Irish crochet pieces. They seem to like it very much. I don't especially care for it. it is a matter of personal taste, I think.
